Roman Avery Academy
Roman Avery Academy is a private school, That means families pay tuition to attend. Families can apply for the Ed Choice Scholarship to cover a portion of the tuition.
What is a private school and how is that different than traditional public schools?
A private school operates as a school of choice. Private schools commit to specific educational objectives, and we still adhere to the same regulations of a traditional public school. We have more flexibility in the operations and management of our school than traditional public schools.
We rely on families choosing to enroll into our program. Families choose Roman Avery Academy to provide a different educational experience for their students.
Our school focuses on student outcomes & positive experiences.
We only accept
15 students into each class/grade. Research has shown that younger students excel in small classrooms. Teachers and students have time to build relationships, teachers can customize student instruction, classrooms are more collaborative, and can cover more in-depth topics.
Our program offers a unique alternative to the typical school day. We encourage children to explore new ideas and techniques. The goal for all students is to become critical thinkers, problem solvers, and develop a sense of self in a community with diversity.
Students must enroll in kindergarten or first grade to apply to our school. We do not have open enrollment options for children entering second grade or higher. Students applying for second grade or higher must take a placement exam and start the interview process before accepted into the program.
